Business:
Jay Ault had experience in the construction industry working with his father's business, Bill Ault Systems. Jay set out to create his own business based upon the OSHA safety needs home builders face during construction.
The business model was a good one but the cost of purchasing equipment resulted in the business being unsustainable. Robb Hawks was asked to create and patent equipment that would enable Jay to manufacture and rent his own equipment thus resulting in a profitability.
Two weeks later a comprehensive system had been designed by Robb. Independent testing verified that the design would exceed OSHA safety standards. The design proved to be superior to anything else on the market using fewer parts to produce a more stable system.
Now, years later, Onsite Safety Systems is a profitable multi-million dollar company which has expanded to multiple cities in the Southeast.
